Aromatic suffrutice with a bushy habit, hyssop is an excellent honey plant.

Also appreciated as an ornamental plant due to its blue flowering, hyssop leaves and flowers are used as an aromatic herb in the kitchen, as an addition to meat dishes, salads and soups.

In folk medicine, hyssop was used as a cure for digestive problems and as an expectorant.
