The galega is a bushy, perennial plant. Its violet bloom is particularly interesting for bees and pollinating insects.

The plant is used for its galactogenic property, i.e. that of increasing milky secretion.

It also has the property of curdling the milk and was therefore used in ancient times for the production of cheeses.

*At the same time as the autumn/winter period, the plant has little or no vegetation.
