Brazilian cress is a herbaceous plant native to South America, especially Brazil and Peru.
The conical shaped flowers are externally yellow and internally red. They appear from spring to late summer.
Both fresh and cooked leaves can be eaten in salads, soups, and meats. Flowers are also edible.
The plant is frost-sensitive but perennial in warmer climates.
