Cold herbal teas in summer: benefits and instructions for use

Summer is still traveling at full speed and a break with herbal teas, strictly cold, is what it takes to quench your thirst, giving various benefits to the body.

Our herbal teas are made with products natural, such as flowers, seeds, leaves and roots, of aromatic and medicinal herbs, without the addition of dyes and preservatives. Definitely excellent to drink hot on winter evenings, but also functional in summer, as a tasty cold drink to start the day or small breaks from the daily routine.

Let's start withnettle! Normally feared as a plant due to the stinging effect of the foliage when touched, this medicinal herb, rich in flavonoids, performs an important purifying and diuretic function on the body. We chose it in the blend draining, enriched with mint and wild fennel, and in that purifying, with basil and lemon.

Another winning combination is certainly that of lemon and ginger! Ideal all year round to promote digestive processes, but particularly useful in summer when the heat strains the body. It is also an excellent diuretic and purifying remedy, as well as a particularly pleasant taste. We couldn't help but create the blend lemon and ginger to combine these two powerful remedies.

We conclude with the karkadè! These bright red petals derived from the species Hibiscus sabdariffa, are characterized by the richness of mineral salts and vitamins. Its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and diuretic properties are widely known; ideal in summer to combat tired and swollen legs. Try it in versions red fruits and lemon, half an hour of relaxation and sweet infusion, enriched with small fruits.

But now let's move on to practical advice!

When making an infusion of parts of leaves, flowers or seeds, remember to leave the mixture to rest for an appropriate time, ie about 8-10 minutes. In this way, the parts will have time to hydrate themselves in the boiling water, releasing all their scent and properties.

Drink your natural herbal teas! Many may disagree, but if that's your thing, prefer herbal tea without sweeteners or, at best, with a spoonful of honey.

In view of a busy day, you can prepare your herbal tea the night before! Leave it to infuse for the necessary time, filter and cool in the fridge.
